Edan Latzelsberger has been appointed as Managing Director of Africa HR Solutions Limited, headquartered in Mauritius, succeeding Olivier Ernst from January 2020.
Born in Durban, South Africa, Edan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB (summa cum laude) from the University of Natal, South Africa as well as an MBA from BBP Business School, London.
After qualifying as a lawyer, Edan joined Investec Private Bank in Durban before moving to the United Kingdom in 2008 where he worked for Legal & General Group, a FTSE100 financial services company, for seven years in a variety of roles. Edan initially joined Legal & General an in-house lawyer and progressed into commercially focused business development and strategy positions including Head of Commercial at Cofunds, the UK’s largest digital investment platform.
In 2015, Edan moved to Mauritius and joined the Cim Group as the Managing Director of its Professional Services Outsourcing unit. Edan simultaneously acted as Cim Group’s Head of Strategy and played a leading role in the sale of Cim Global Business to SGG Group (which was recently re-branded to IQ-EQ Group) in 2017. As part of this acquisition, Edan subsequently joined IQ-EQ Mauritius, a leading investor services company with USD150 billion assets under administration, as its Commercial Director with primary responsibility for strategic growth in Africa.
